In House Kitchen

At EDG Nursery, we believe that healthy eating in the early years lays the foundation for lifelong wellbeing. All meals are freshly prepared on-site each day by our dedicated in-house chef, using nutritious, balanced ingredients tailored to young children’s needs.

Our menus are thoughtfully planned to include a wide variety of:

  • Fresh fruit and vegetables
  • Wholegrains and starchy foods
  • Fish and meat
  • Age-appropriate textures and flavours

Menus are rotated on a 4-week cycle and adapted seasonally to ensure variety, balance, and enjoyment for children throughout the year.

All meals are prepared in our 5-star food hygiene rated kitchen and are fully inclusive within our nursery fees.

All meals are freshly prepared by Rhona, our in-house chef, who brings care, consistency, and a child-centred approach to everything she cooks. Rhona works closely with the nursery team to ensure meals are nutritious, balanced, and appropriate for all ages, including individual dietary requirements and allergies.

Rhona is supported by Lovely, our Kitchen Assistant, who helps with daily meal preparation and ensures the kitchen runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Together, they play an important role in supporting children’s health, wellbeing, and enjoyment of food each day.
