Ofsted report
EDG Nursery was inspected by Ofsted on 17 January 2024 and was graded Good across all areas, including quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management.
The inspection highlighted that children are happy, confident, and well supported. Staff build warm relationships with children and families, provide an ambitious and engaging curriculum, and support strong communication, creativity, and independence. Safeguarding arrangements were judged to be effective.
Continuous Improvement
Ofsted identified areas to further strengthen practice, including:
- Supporting newer and quieter children to build friendships
- Ensuring consistent routines that promote children’s health and wellbeing
What we have in place:
We have strengthened key person support, small-group social opportunities, our routines and staff consistency across the nursery. These improvements are also supported by Rashida, our Early Years Wellbeing, Behaviour and Inclusion Specialist, who works closely with staff to promote inclusion, emotional wellbeing, and positive peer relationships.
